Paul Thurmond Awarded Prestigious Leadership in Law Award

CHARLESTON, S.C., Feb. 1, 2017— Thurmond Kirchner and Timbes is pleased to announce Paul Thurmond has been chosen as a 2017 South Carolina Leadership in Law Award honoree. “We would like to congratulate Paul on this significant achievement,” said Jesse Kirchner. “It is wonderful to see that my dear friend and law partner is being recognized within the legal community for his outstanding work and public service.”

Thurmond will be honored at an awards ceremony on March 24, 2017 at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston SC. The event will recognize attorneys from across the Palmetto State. South Carolina Lawyers Weekly gives the distinguished award to those members of the South Carolina legal community who have achieved success in their law practice, made contributions to society and had an impact on the legal profession.

Thurmond focuses his law practice on criminal defense, DUI defense, personal injury, and civil litigation. “It is an honor to be chosen for this prestigious award,” said Thurmond, “and I consider it a distinct privilege to be included among the group of selected attorneys.”

Thurmond earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. In August of 2005, Mr. Thurmond joined long-time friends Jesse Kirchner and Michael Timbes in forming the law firm of Thurmond Kirchner & Timbes, P.A. Thurmond is active in a number of civic and charitable organizations in the South Carolina Lowcountry. He is a member of the Rotary of St. Andrews, a Riley Institute Diversity Fellow, and he coaches youth soccer in Mount Pleasant.
