Christopher C. Romeo focuses his practice on helping clients who have been injured by others and regularly handles cases stemming from trucking and auto accidents, product defects, nursing home abuse and neglect, dog bites, medical malpractice, dram shop negligence (when a bar or restaurant violates alcohol liability laws), and premises liability cases against hotels, homeowners, stores, and governmental entities, as well as others.
Chris has been named to the Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers Association (2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022), which recognizes the nation’s top Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers under the age of 40 in each state, and was named to Super Lawyers Rising Stars for 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 as well as Charleston Business Magazine's 2019 Best and Brightest 35 & Under.
Chris grew up in Hendersonville, North Carolina, and attended the University of Georgia as an undergraduate, during which he also studied at the Umbra Institute in Perugia, Italy. After taking a year off of school and working on boats at the City Marina in Charleston, he attended Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law on a full presidential scholarship, where he was an Associate Editor of the Cumberland Law Review, a member of the Cumberland Moot Court Board, and a coach of the school’s National Moot Court teams. Before being hired by the firm in 2014, Chris served as an assistant public defender in North Carolina and represented clients for criminal charges ranging from trespass to Attempted Murder.
Chris now lives in James Island with his wife, Morgan, and their three children, Charlie, Stella, and Oliver.
